Within the steps of the project to support reconsideration of the constitutional framework of the 2005 Constitution, which is implemented by Rewaq Baghdad Center for Public Policy, in cooperation with the International IDEA Foundation, researcher Lina Imad conducted a meeting with former MP Dr. Abbas Al-Bayati, as a member of the Constitutional Amendments Committee that was formed in 2006, where the meeting discussed the issue of The obstacles the committee faced at the time, the time violations witnessed in the process of writing the constitution, the most prominent reasons for them, the circumstances surrounding its writing, and the extent of the possibility of amending it in the future. The researcher also conducted another meeting with the representative of the Kurdish New Generation Movement, Sarwa Abdel Wahed, within the framework of the same project, to talk about the possibility of the initiative to make constitutional amendments a reason for evaluating the course of the political process.
