Following in the footsteps of previous meetings conducted by Rewaq Baghdad Center for Public Policy, regarding the Iraqi Constitution Evaluation Project for the year 2005, which the Center is implementing in cooperation with the International IDEA Foundation, the sixth consultative meeting was held in the presence of both members of the researchers and experts committees, where the results of the interviews that were recently conducted were presented. With a number of members of the Constitution Writing Committee and the most important points that were addressed through these interviews, which relied on an important and specific number of questions with objectives and implications related to the nature of the time period that witnessed the writing of the Constitution as well as the political and security circumstances that coincided with the moment of its birth, The meeting, which was chaired by Mr. Abbas Al-Anbouri, head of the Baghdad Center for Public Policy, stressed the need to complete interviews with the rest of the political actors and members of the constitution writing and constitutional amendments committees in order to arrive at developing visions about evaluating the Iraqi constitution for the year 2005, as part of the project requirements.
