A delegation from Rwaq Baghdad Center for Public Policy visited the Chinese Embassy and met with His Excellency Ambassador Zhang Tao. The focus of the meeting was on the Belt and Road Initiative and the possibility of undertaking giant strategic projects to link Chinese trade lines with Europe through Iraqi ports and modern land transport lines.

Al-Riwaq began preparing a scientific study to examine the possibilities of implementation and its effects on the economic interests of the two friendly peoples.

His Excellency the Ambassador expressed the willingness of the Chinese Embassy to cooperate in preparing the study, and its constant endeavor to push towards the implementation of strategic projects of this level that would revive the commercial and economic movement not only in Iraq, but for the countries of the entire region.
