Rewaq Baghdad explores the role of diplomacy in Africa, although the title of the dialogue seminar held by the Baghdad Corridor Center explores the role of Iraqi diplomacy towards the countries of the African continent and what it should do within this space.
But the talk that was addressed by the guests of the gallery, namely Dr. Hashim Al-Awadi and Dr. Muhammad Hussein Abu Saiba, and the discussion of the attendees around it, raised more than one opinion and in multiple aspects, including the reference to the utmost importance of the countries of the African continent from multiple aspects, the most important of which is the economic aspect, and how Iraq can search for a foothold there.
In addition to the need to resort to a supportive popular diplomacy represented by cultural exchange, religious tourism, and commercial and economic cooperation through which the opportunity can be opened for Iraqi businessmen and investors to work and move like other countries, the government contributes through its diplomatic activities to encourage and open up to it.
Emphasizing the need for all these steps to be carefully considered and systematically implemented by decision-makers, this will pave the way for their adoption and implementation in the near future. The symposium was moderated by Dr. Alaa Hamid and attended by a group of academics, politicians, and intellectuals.
