About the Book

The idea for this book emerged after writing and publishing several studies on the Iraqi agricultural sector on various online platforms. Many individuals interested in this field requested the completion and compilation of these studies into a book that would be easier to reference. The book includes published studies on various aspects of the Iraqi agricultural sector, such as palm trees, dates, livestock, and agricultural challenges in Iraq. It also includes unpublished studies on the agricultural sector and field reports directly from provinces, with an attempt to analyze and extrapolate from them. Additionally, the book features a Dutch report on the current agricultural reality in Iraq, sheds light on new technologies in agricultural production worldwide, and explores the water issue in Iraq. It also examines the development of the philosophy and institutional mechanisms for state intervention in agricultural development.
