In the presence of the Special Envoy for Religious Freedom and Freedom of Belief at the German Foreign Ministry, the representative of the German Parliament, Mr. Frank Schwabe, the Chargé d’Affairs of the German Embassy in Baghdad, Mr. Philipp Holz-Apfel, and the German delegation accompanying them, as well as a number of representatives of components and minorities in Iraq, the Baghdad Center for Public Policy held a discussion panel that addressed the issue of Religious freedom in Iraq, during which the reality of Iraqi minorities and components and the challenges they face, especially after the ISIS phase, was reviewed, and the role played by international bodies, including German ones, in order to overcome these obstacles and challenges, and the extent of the support and assistance that can be provided to them through cooperation with the government.
